Researching the summer 2014 and 2015 trends and using the print work to create a set of three Macmillan badges.

Designing my own summer folk tail, floral and animal prints and using these for my final set of three summer badges for Macmillan.

Researching into 2015 fall trends such as colours, fabric, detailing, silhouettes and fashion prints. Using the bag shape research for fall 2015 to create my designs for clarins.

Using the silk and velvet fabrics as the main fabrics being used, and the block colouring trend.

Experimenting with the layouts of the fashion prints on top of the designs and fabric,  designing my own tropical and small and large floral prints.

Print design

Print trends are becoming more eye catching, more 3D floral printing which creates the print to stand out more than the style of the garments. Using faces and playing around with the lines of the face to create prints.

Showing what the best sellers are between different high street retailers. As one with have focus on prints another with have focus on the style of the new trend.

 Spring and summers trend is midi and maxi skirts and dresses, and flower crown headbands and also lace head bands.
Here are a few i have made myself.

Collaborating with Lucas Gordon. first I started off looking through their look book of garments, getting an idea of what their style is and how they want there garments to look. From there I started of designing a wide range of fashion illustrations of formal wear dresses which would fit into their spring and summer collection, experimenting with different trends and making them current, high neck line, low neck line, open back, empire waist line, pleats to create texture, and also body fitting dresses.

Once I explored more into the designs and flat drawings. i narrowed down the designs to four which they were happy with.

Summer And Spring Print Collection

Brief

Inspired by ladylike elegant shapes, the use of light flowing fabrics as its a summer and spring collection the material has to be right for the weather.

Designing my own prints using all sorts of flowers, leaves and also natural including animals for example - the butterfly.
Using repeat pattern and over laying mixing in the design prints creating a colourful palette, taking colours that are bold and bright and relate to spring and summer.
